Identity
Valid Ghana Card or acceptable ID matching the application.
Driving licence
Valid Ghanaian licence suited to the vehicle and service.
Ride-hailing account
Must qualify for and obtain Uber, Bolt or other platform approval.
Driving experience
Proven legal driving on public roads. Set a minimum period in policy.
Contact details
Active phone, reliable email and an emergency contact.
References
Verifiable employer or professional references, where available.
Guarantor
Verifiable guarantor who understands the obligations, if the agreement requires one.
Training
Complete GSC induction and platform onboarding.
Agreement
Signed rental, work-and-pay or drive-to-own agreement before handover.

Application and interview
Collect only the personal data needed for recruitment, verification and the contract. Explain how it is used and stored, and get consent for checks.

- Driving: licence number, class, expiry, years driving, ride-hailing history, previous fleet, disclosable incidents
- Arrangement: rental, work-and-pay or drive-to-own; vehicle category; schedule; understanding of rent and return conditions
- Verification: reference, guarantor, consent for lawful checks

Background screening in five steps

Practical driving assessment
Every shortlisted driver is observed before receiving a vehicle. A fail in any safety-critical area means more training and a reassessment.

Contract and handover
Release the vehicle only after platform approval and complete GSC documentation. Explain payments, use restrictions, servicing, accident procedure and return conditions before the driver signs.

Three agreement types
Rental Weekly rent for vehicle use.
Work-and-pay Payment structure agreed in the contract.
Drive-to-own Driver works towards owning the vehicle.
The handover report states existing condition, known defects, accessories and who maintains and repairs what.
The first 30 days
A GSC Fleet policy, not an official Uber, Bolt or Lyft requirement. Targets and rental rates must be given in writing before the driver accepts the vehicle.

App activation, conduct, vehicle condition, punctuality, fleet rules.
